Real Solutions for Real Problems

President Obama said in his Non-State of the Union, State of the Union address last night "We have known for decades that our survival depends on finding new sources of energy. Yet we import more oil today than ever before."

Okay, I live in North Eastern Montana, this is a place where the deer and the antelope still play. Where the closest Wal- Mart is 90 miles away, and a full-time year-round job is hard to come-by.

What makes this place so special, we don't have the mountains you picture when you dream of Montana, we don't have ski slopes, celeberties don't move here. What do we have OIL!!!! It is estimated we sit on more oil than the entire Middle East.

So last summer when the Congress and Senators were telling you it would take 10 years to get new oil in the pipeline, well guess what dear readers, they were lying to you. If the Montana/North Dakota oil fields would be allowed to open and go into full production the new oil would be in the American system in six months or less. Not only that within two years of this full production we would be able to export more oil than all of O.P.E.C.

What does that mean for you? How about 1990 gas prices again. What would this mean for North East Montana? Jobs, jobs and more jobs. A win for the Nation, and a win for small town America.
